A Faith Church Christmas

Christmas is coming and I am always excited to visit the beautiful city of St. Louis, MO and the great people at Faith Church there! I truly enjoy the times I get to come in and help program and set the stage for their always over-the-top Christmas production! This year it really did feel like Christmas since while I was there St. Louis got hit with 6 inches of snow! This GA boy was feeling a little out of his element! However, the show must go on and the wonderful pastors and volunteers kept me safe and warm during my first winter wonderland of the season!

Royal Dreams Women's Conference

Well, going into this weekend I wasn't really sure about how I felt being stuck in a room full of thousands of ladies at the first ever Women's Conference hosted by Free Chapel in Gainesville, Ga! But I must admit, those ladies definitely know how to have fun! The stage got decked out with the giant pearls pictured and beautiful hand made oversized flowers. It was definitely the most girly stage I've ever lit but it turned out absolutely amazing and my hat goes off to the Free Chapel team for coming up with the design.

 

And of course you can't have a Women's Conference without a ton of confetti falling from the skies! Confetti Canons are always a hit with the crowd, probably not so fun for the cleaning crew though...  

 

Moving Forward Pastors Conference

 

 
 



 
 

This was the first year I've had the privilege of lighting the Moving Forward Pastors and Leaders Conference hosted by the Church for the Nations in Phoenix, Arizona. (wow, that was a mouthful)! We rented a few extra lights to fill the room and had an amazing weekend of worship and teaching. I always feel so welcome whenever I visit this Church and am humbled by their top notch hospitality and welcoming staff. It is always a pleasure and I am looking forward to many more events at Church for the Nations!  

LOVE CAN use social media for good!

I love how Social Media can be used for good! Central Church, Las Vegas, found me on Instagram and contacted me to help design and light this outstanding one day event! We had a lot of preparation leading up to show time including full stage design drawings, pre-visualization computer based programming from my headquarters in Atlanta, then putting it all to real-life in the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas for this one off event!

 

The room was packed and everything went off without a hitch! I am so thankful I got to play a role in this outstanding event and can't wait to see my new Las Vegas friends again soon!

So excited to be a part of the Deeper Conference "Surrendered Ones" hosted by Israel Houghton! I've been lighting this conference for a couple of years now and it is always powerful! I love working with such inspiring musicians, getting to be creative is easy when the stage is set with this talented team.

This year was very cool as I got to light worshipers from around the world at the conference. There were many world-wide groups here and they brought a multi-lingual and international flavor to the conference! Incredible!

Redemption Point is on the Move!

So excited to be a part of this project as Redemption Point of Chattanooga, TN is moving and expanding into a new, larger building! This multi-campus Church, pastored by Bishop Kevin Wallace, has been growing in numbers and is preparing to step into bigger and brighter services for its congregation! mattlights has been contracted to do a full AVL package and we are excited to see it all coming together!








The newly renovated building is coming along beautifully and our team has been hard at work preparing them for opening day! The first service in the new building will be held August 3rd! To God be the Glory!

Forward Youth Conference

Wow! What a blessing to be a part of such an amazing conference! So many lives changed as Free Chapel's annual youth conference sold out the 13,000+ Gwinnett Arena outside of Atlanta, GA.




Thanks to Michael Henson for his help in the design process, and Majestic Productions for supplying the gear and bringing it all to life!

















Pyrotecnico did an awesome job handling the lasers that really made it all pop! A great and tasteful way to compliment all these lighting fixtures!

Forward Conference Load-in!

I have to give a great shout out to Majestic Productions for their hard work and great team during load-in for this conference. They even set me up with the ultimate Pre-viz suite...complete with dual view 58" and ambient led lighting, so I could keep putting finishing touches on programming while they set up the rig!















Bringing it all to life! Everything in place, getting ready to rock this amazing rig! Love seeing designs go from an idea, to paper, to drawings, to visualizer, to real life! What a process, but worth it all!












The host Church, Free Chapel, thought it would be fun to add some lasers to the rig and give it a Rave type vibe! Lovin' the look so far!

Forward Conference Pre-Vis Programming

 
I love all the travel I get to do with my job - but it is nice working from home too sometimes! This week I get the opportunity to work with the MA console from the house, using visualizer technology! I can program the whole show from the comfort of my couch, and don't have to be gone from the family! My youngest, Levi, even got to design a couple cues of his own!





















 I can program and keep up with SportsCenter at the same time! #closetoHeaven!

 

 Even our Border Collie, Lucy, wanted in on some of the action! She wouldn't leave my side - guess the kids aren't the only ones who were happy I'm home!

 We are all getting very excited about this years design for Forward Conference at Gwinnett Arena! Can't wait to get in the room and see it really come to life!
 

Viper Family Demo

Excited to be hosting one of the first demos for Martin's new Viper Family Line! Thanks to Free Chapel for letting us use your venue for this event! Can't wait to light this rig up!! Hope to see you there!

REVIVAL at Free Chapel

 Excited for Free Chapel's expectation of Revival! The first service of the series was amazing and the Presence of the Lord was here from beginning to end!  I love doing lights for services like these because who knows which way the band will be led so it's fun to follow them while keeping the atmosphere for Revival!

Feels Good to be Home!

I am so thankful and blessed to be on the road and all the opportunities I have to spread the Gospel through music and lights - but there is nothing like sitting in your home seat, in front your own console and house rig, with your wife by your side! So happy to be back home at Free Chapel this week!

We had some amazing testimonies tonight from the New Beginnings Women's Ministry about families that have been restored and addictions broken, God is so good! We also had the privilege to hear from our Haiti missionaries on the new Farmer's Market they have envisioned so the natives won't be dependent on others to provide for them, but can start doing for themselves! What an amazing gift to give!

Revealing Jesus Tour - Lakewood Church

Only a few more stops on the tour this time around! This morning we found ourselves at the amazing venue that is Lakewood Church in Houston, TX! I feel pretty comfortable in this room after being here for a week last year while recording Israel's 'Jesus at the Center Live' DVD. I love catching up with the in-house production team and always enjoy the hang!

Revealing Jesus Tour visits Catalyst Conference - Los Angeles, CA

After an early morning flight we all landed in Orange County! I love flying into this place - so beautiful!

















The Tour made a stop in Californina to lead worship for the Friday morning set at Catalyst Conference. It was great getting a chance to see some of my Majestic buddies - they had an amazing design for this conference and I know thousands of lives were impacted by the atmosphere in that place!

This grueling schedule can't be kept for long! Our talent needs its rest, no matter where they are! Can anyone guess who this is past out on the lawn in front of the conference center?! Lol! Love you bro!

Church for the Nations - Revealing Jesus Tour

We had an amazing night on tour as we visited the Church for the Nations! A last minute decision to bring in some extra rental lights really put the rig over the edge and we had a great show!
















It was a packed house in Phoenix and God just did his thing as we flowed flawlessly through the night! Have I mentioned how much I love my job?!

Revealing Jesus Tour

We are extremely excited to be on tour with Darlene Zshech, Israel Houghton and BJ Putnum this week! Not only did mattlights have the privelage of designing and programming for all three of these artists' most recent indivdual albums but this tour is going to be out of this world! The music, the musicians and of course, the spirit filled vocalists, are uncomparable in today's worship market and I can't believe we have the opportunity to be so involved!

Free Chapel Easter

 Christ is Risen! This was our theme for this years Easter Services at Free Chapel (and millions of Easter services around the world I would assume)! I had a blast celebrating the Risen One with the amazing Worship Team at the Gainesville Campus. 

Would love to give thanks to the amazing team at Free Chapel for their hard work putting this materpeice together! Love seeing lives changed and the lost being found at impacting services like these!

Jason Crabb CD Release Celebration

 We at mattlights we very excited to be a part of this event! The release of Jaon Crabb's new ablum was almost as phenominal as the hot pink jacket he was sporting!

We all got the inside scoop on the album while Grammy® Award Winner, Micah Massey, interviews producers Jay DeMarcus, Wayne Haun! I have to admit I was a little star struck watching these guys!

The new album is absolutely amazing, I can't wait to hear these songs in Church's across the country very soon!
